DAY 01 – AIRPORT / HABARANA OR SIGIRIYA

Welcome to Sri Lanka, our Airport Representative will meet, assist and introduce you to your chauffeur guide for your tour of Sri Lanka, sit back relax and enjoy the countryside on the drive from the Airport to your chosen hotel in Sigiriya An evening at leisure and overnight stay at the hotel in Sigiriya 

DAY 02 – SIGIRIYA / MINNERIYA

After breakfast proceed to Sigiriya, visit the 5th century AD Sigiriya rock fortress of King Kasyapa. The view of the surrounding countryside from the summit of the rock is spectacular.  Your guide will tell you about the many legends surrounding King Kasyapa and his palace in the sky.Commence an afternoon safari drive to the Minneriya National Park; The Park encompasses the beautiful Minneriya tank, built by King Mahasena (274-301 AD). 
24 species of mammal are to be found in the park, the most important being the elephant of which there are 150-200. Other species present include the sambhur, spotted deer, leopard (rather elusive), sloth bear, toque monkey and purple-faced leaf monkey. 
Some 160 species of bird have been recorded in the park, including endemics such as the Sri Lanka jungle fowl, hanging parrot, brown-capped babbler, crimson-fronted barbet and black-crested bulbul. 
Of the 25 species of reptile recorded in the park eight are endemic, such as the endangered red-lipped lizard. Visitors are more likely to see Saurian such as the water monitor and the Sri Lanka swamp crocodile.Return to hotel for overnight stay  

DAY 03 – DAMBULLA / KANDY

After breakfast leave for Kandy en-route visit the 1ST century BC Dambulla Rock Cave Temple, thereafter a visit to a spice garden and a batik factory. Arrive at your hotel in Kandy. commence a city tour visiting the colourful and busy Market place, the upper lake drive, Gem museum, the Arts & Crafts Centre, the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens; Pleasure gardens to Sinhalese Royalty before the British period. All plants and trees are marked with their botanical names; the Orchid house has probably the largest variety of Orchids found in the area. Later visit the famous Dalada Maligawa (Temple of the Tooth Relic).Overnight stay at Hotel in Kandy 

DAY 04 – KANDY / UDAWALAWE

After breakfast leave on a scenic drive to Embilipitiya and check in to the Centauria Hotel, commence an afternoon safari drive through the Udawalawe National Park which is located in the Southern Province of Sri Lanka. The park covers an area of 306 sq. km. There are over 400 Elephants, There are also recorded sightings of Leopards; however due to their elusive nature spotting them requires considerable luck. Other animals found here include Golden Jackals, Water Buffalo and Grey langurs and also Crocodiles and Monitor Lizards The many species of birds found here include birds of prey such as the White-bellied Sea Eagle, Crested Serpent Eagle, Fish Eagle, Booted eagle, Changeable Hawk Eagle, and in the wetlands waders and Painted Storks. Land birds include the Indian Roller, Indian Peafowl, Malabar Pied Hornbill, and Pied CuckooReturn to the Hotel for overnight stay 

DAY 05 – UDAWALAWE – YALA

After breakfast proceed to Yala and check in to the Elephant Reach hotel, after lunch leave on an afternoon safari drive through the Yala National Park. With an area of 1259 sq km it is the biggest National Park in Sri Lanka. The Park is located 309 km south of Colombo on the southeast of the island. The national park is divided into Yala West (also called Ruhuna) and Yala East. Yala West or Ruhuna National Park is one of the best parks in the world to observe and photograph leopards. There are about 35 leopards in the park, which probably is the highest density anywhere in the world. Other animals that can be seen in the park are elephants, sloth bear, spotted deer, barking deer, mouse deer, toque monkey, mongoose and crocodiles. Yala East contains a large variety of water birds.Overnight stay at hotel in Yala  

DAY 06 – YALA SAFARI

After breakfast commence an early morning safari drive through  the Yala National Park, then it back to the hotel for refreshment and later that afternoon its back on another exciting safari drive through the Yala national park, you may lucky enough to spot an animal or bird you missed previouslyReturn to Hotel for overnight stay 

DAY 07 - DEPARTURE SRI LANKA OR YOUR BEACH RESORT EXTENSION
